Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026 · GardenRoomIQ, England & Wales

Please read these terms carefully before requesting a quote or booking assembly work with GardenRoomIQ. By using our website or services, you agree to these terms.

1. About us

GardenRoomIQ ("GardenRoomIQ", "we", "us", "our") is a mobile summerhouse assembly service operating across Hertfordshire, North London and East London. We assemble summerhouses, log cabins and garden buildings that you have already purchased, onto a base you have already prepared. We do not supply summerhouses and we do not prepare bases.

2. Quotes and pricing

All quotes provided through our website — including the instant quote calculated from the brand, model and dimensions you supply — are indicative only and do not constitute a binding offer.

  • A firm, confirmed price will be provided after a technician reviews the details you've submitted, and where necessary, after inspecting the site in person
  • The final price may differ from the indicative quote depending on the actual dimensions, roof style, access, and base condition found on site
  • Quotes assume a compliant level concrete base is already in place, within a 10mm tolerance — see Section 4 below
  • Jobs flagged as "price on application" (multi-room, bespoke, multi-storey, or including a verandah/gazebo) require manual review before a price can be confirmed

3. Bookings and appointments

A booking is confirmed only when GardenRoomIQ has explicitly confirmed the appointment date, time, and price in writing (by email).

  • We will make every effort to attend appointments on time. Occasionally delays may occur due to traffic or previous jobs running over — we will notify you as soon as possible if this happens
  • You must ensure the site is accessible and clear for assembly work at the agreed time
  • We reserve the right to reschedule if site conditions — including the base, access, or weather — are unsuitable for assembly

4. Base requirement

Before booking, you'll declare that checks have been undertaken to confirm your base is level concrete and within the 10mm tolerance. This declaration must be made before we arrive on site.

If the base does not meet this requirement when we arrive, your deposit is forfeited and we will not carry out the assembly until the base has been rectified.

5. Cancellations and rescheduling

A 10% deposit secures your booking. Cancelling with 7 or more days' notice before your agreed work date gets you a full refund of that deposit; cancelling with less than 7 days' notice forfeits it. Full details are set out in our Cancellation & Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

6. Payment

  • A 10% deposit is due to secure your booking; the remaining balance is due on completion of the assembly
  • No hidden charges — the confirmed price is the price you pay
  • GardenRoomIQ reserves the right to pursue unpaid invoices through appropriate legal channels

7. Scope of our work

We provide assembly only. We are not responsible for the design, manufacture, or quality of the summerhouse itself — that remains the responsibility of the manufacturer or retailer you purchased it from. Any defects in the summerhouse kit as supplied (missing parts, damaged panels, manufacturing faults) should be raised with the manufacturer or retailer directly.

We assemble to the manufacturer's specification using the information and materials you and the manufacturer provide. We will let you know before starting work if we believe a job falls outside the scope of what we can safely or reasonably assemble.

8. Liability

GardenRoomIQ carries appropriate insurance for our assembly work. In the unlikely event of damage caused by our team during assembly, we will take responsibility and remedy the issue at no cost to you.

Our liability is limited to the cost of the assembly service provided. We are not liable for:

  • Defects in the summerhouse kit as supplied by the manufacturer or retailer
  • Issues arising from a base that did not meet the declared 10mm tolerance
  • Pre-existing site conditions not disclosed at the time of booking
  • Consequential or indirect losses

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Your responsibilities

  • You must be the property owner or have the owner's permission to authorise assembly work on the site
  • You must ensure the base is level concrete, within the 10mm tolerance, and constructed before we arrive
  • You must provide accurate brand, model, dimensions, and site details when requesting a quote
  • You or an authorised adult must be available to provide site access and sign off the completed assembly

10. Website use

The instant quote tool on our website calculates an indicative price from the brand, model, dimensions and details you provide. These estimates are for guidance only and are not guaranteed to reflect the final price.

You must not misuse our website or submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does so.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
